District Master Updates

Worthy Sirs,

1. I want to say thank you to our Exemplification team for a fine Exemplification of Patriotism this past Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at St William Parish in Greenville, TX. We brought in 23 new Sir Knights. This was well attended by family members and current Sir Knights, so much so we had to find additional chairs.

2. I have heard from a few of you already that your latest Billing statement is Past Due, I think this is just an automated statement on the bill with no reflection if you submitted or not. Don’t panic, this is why I ask for copies when you submit.

3. Upcoming Exemplifications of Patriotism (EoP)

4. I am asking each Assembly to send to myself and SK Bill Pilcher Ceremonial Director/Marshal (william.pilcher@gmail.com) at least two candidates for potential membership on our Exemplification teams. We are looking for team members for speaking roles; av team, setup and teardown; registration desk. Please submit names, Assembly, Parish, roles they have held and contact information by September 15th. We will compile names and reach out to candidates.

5. Color Corps presentations in your communities. Think about presenting the Colors at football games or other sporting or school events. I know Assembly 1089 in Ft Worth presents the Colors at Nolan Catholic High School. This is a great way to get the 4th Degree in front of a broader audience and can help in recruiting. Think about this: what better way to show the 4th degree to the community, honor our Church and our Country.

6. Color Corps requests.

Funerals/Visitation/Rosary: This should start with a request from family or parish to Grand Knight who reaches out to the Faithful Navigator who works with the Color Corp Commander. The Color Corps Commander reaches out to his team. We should always fall out for a Priest’s funeral, regardless of KC status.

Bishop Fallouts: This usually starts with a request from Diocese staff or the Parish pastor requesting our presence. These are usually Diocesan fallouts. Remember for these always send myself and the Marshal an invite. The Marshals usually send out the Diocesan callouts. We need to remember to be aware of the local pastor’s desires. Some parishes are small and if too many SKs fall out for say a First Communion we could overshadow the First Communicants and take away from their special day.

Some Assemblies have teaming/support agreements to assist in this case the CCC can reach out to the other CCC’s and Navigators for support if they are within the Diocese. You can also enlist the aid of myself and Marshals for further support. Remember if you need assistance in a different District it needs to flow through myself to my counterpart within Texas, if request is for out our Province then I would enlist the aid of the Vice Supreme Master in getting assistance.

7. Another assignment for the Officers of each Assembly. I would like a list submitted to myself and District Secretary Marshal Rob Daleo (sk.robert.daleo@gmail.com) of the Councils and parishes that feed into your Assembly. I have some lists but would like to verify. I am also requesting the list that Supreme has in their records. For Example something like this:

Assembly 3553, Dallas Diocese

    • Council 11292, St Jude Parish, Allen Tx
    • Council 9903, St Michael Parish, McKinney, TX
    • Council 16047, Holy Family Parish, Van Alstyne, TX

Please try to have this by September 24th, 2026 but i’ll take this earlier, this shouldn’t be a lot of work for you.

Thank you
Kevin

Vivat Jesus
