3rd Texas District Updates

Worthy Sirs, we have a couple of things on our plate. Please read this email and follow through.

1. State Convention I need Sir Knights to assist at the KC store. I need at least one Sk in uniform. Our main duty will be answering questions on how to order a uniform.
Store hours will be:

• Friday 4/24 – 12:30pm to 6pm
• Saturday 4/25 – 9:30am to 5:00pm
• Sunday 4/26 – 9:30am to 12:30pm

We can break this up in one or two hour shifts.

2. East Texas Exemplification in Lufkin on May 16th, 2026, save this date and publicize this as an opportunity for east Texas.

3. I am ready to schedule additional Exemplifications. Reach out to me with your desire to host an Exemplification. Hosting is fairly simple, it involves coordination with parish priest and staff to reserve Sanctuary and hall space. Sanctuary is the desired location for the Exemplifications. Assist in finding a caterer for food and possible hotels if we need a hotel. Host Assembly(s) Councils do not need to pay for the meal, the meal is funded through the banquet fees. No financial risk.

4. Upcoming Color Corps events to plan for in future:

a. Dallas Diaconate Ordination April 25th. Same days as the State Convention Saturday Mass. So we will need all hands on deck for Convention masses.
b. Tyler Diaconate Ordination May 23rd more info to follow.
c. Dallas Priestly ordination May 23rd St Gabriels 10am
d. State Meeting in Tyler Saturday Evening Color Corps requested by Bishop Kelly for evening mass, more info to follow.

5. Remember to Submit your To be a Patriot Award to myself electronically by April 30th, 2026. I have to transmit to VSM via email and he sends it to Supreme Master via email so if it is paper, it won’t be going forward as if I scan it won’t be readable and photos will be distorted.

6. Elections of Officers, remember nominations in April and elections in May. Send in Form 186 as soon as election occurs, if you don’t get it into Supreme Electronically you risk losing officers access to Officers online.

7. Start scheduling your officers installations now, remember the current Navigator is responsible for this not the incoming Navigator. Remember to schedule with adjacent Assemblies. Send requests to District Secretary/Marshal Rob Daleo. He has the master schedule.

8. Remember the District has a Silver Rose so if you would like to use it in your councils reach out to District Secretary/Marshal Rob Daleo for availability.

9. New patriot 250 District Master Challenge is Coming for June 2026 to August 31, 2026. This will be forwarded in a separate email.
