Fourth Degree Updates
October 30, 2023
- Fort Worth Diocese Exemplification this Saturday (10/28) at St Francis of Assisi in Grapevine. Currently 69 candidates have signed-up to receive honors of the Fourth Degree. If there is interest with additional candidates, contact DM Ken Franch asap.
- Had quarterly Zoom Training Session with Supreme Master (SM)…items of note:
- * Magnetic name badges will be allowed on the right side of the uniform in social settings (NOT wearing the beret, sword, baldric, or gloves). VSM is determining template for entire Province so wait till DM forwards the template before ordering one.
- Supreme Board has authorized exemplification fees to increase from $70 to $90. Not mandated…3rd TX District will stay at the $70 for the time being. $70 fee has been in place since the early 2000’s…effectively $45 now.
- SM believes the Fourth Degree ceremony will be released before the end of the fraternal year.
- New Spanish Assembly in Dallas has been approved…Assembly 3790 in south Dallas. We now have 39 assemblies in the 3rd TX District…most of any in Our Lady of Guadalupe Province. We also have the most members in the Province, finally getting ahead of District 1 in Houston/Galveston.
- VSM Pat Conway participated in the transfer of the VSM sword at a ceremony during the Provincial meeting in Oklahoma City on October 14. PSD SK Leo Hanus and Lady Lorraine were in attendance.
